Thank God for small favours

If you need someone to read Othello with, just let me know. It's usually much more fun, you understand more and we can discuss things that are unclear. Remember that Shakespeare originally wasn't meant to be read ;)
I agree. Shakespeare is dry if you read it alone. If you read it with someone, especially if you read it aloud, it's much clearer and more fun. Everything is so hard to understand as well, and especially since it isn't your first language, it's so confusing... I don't know if your book includes footnotes to clarify some of the phrases, but mine did, and without it I would be lost.

Shakespeare....heh...I remember all too well for english GCSE and my teacher explaining exactly WHY we should do Anthony and Cleopatra which pretty much none of us enjoyed "Ohh, well it's one of the less well known ones so I thought it might be good to do something new" ....There's a -reason- it's less commonly read you know? Heh...I didn't mind a Midsummer Night's Dream myself (and yes..I know THIS bit it relative to the next post but shh) although that might be because I didn't have to read it I just saw the film *G* *hugs*
